Savings Bond Check answers whether a US savings bond (Series E, EE, I, or HH) is still earning interest, when it reaches final maturity, what the current I bond rates are, and how to cash paper or electronic bonds. Rate data comes from the Treasury Fiscal Data API (I bonds interest rates dataset); the matured-unredeemed total comes from the Monthly Statement of the Public Debt, Table III.

- Matured unredeemed savings securities: $35.2 billion as of 2026-06-30 (MSPD Table III).
- Series E: all matured (last June 2010). Series HH: all matured (August 2024). EE and I bonds earn for 30 years from issue.
- Treasury Hunt was retired September 30, 2025; claims go through TreasuryDirect's savings bond forms.
