I bond rate widget
The current I bond rate on your own website, kept up to date automatically.
A free widget that shows the current Series I savings bond rate on your own site: the composite rate for new purchases, its fixed and inflation parts, and, ahead of each May 1 and November 1 announcement, the part of the next rate that published inflation data has already set. It updates itself from Treasury data every time this site rebuilds. Built for personal finance blogs, credit unions, financial planners, retirement newsletters and libraries.
What it shows
- The composite rate for I bonds bought now (4.26% for bonds bought May 2026 to Oct 2026), with its fixed (0.90%) and semiannual inflation parts.
- Before each announcement, the inflation part of the next rate once the CPI-U data that sets it is published (about two weeks early).
- The date of the data and the source (U.S. Treasury). It switches to the new rate as soon as Treasury publishes it.
The small print
Free for any site. No sign-up, no ads, no cookies and no tracking scripts: the widget counts how many times it loads per website, nothing about your visitors. The credit line under it is optional but appreciated. The widget is 320 by 182 pixels and shrinks to fit narrow columns.
